Asking for Referrals

Do you have nice patients? Of course you do!
These are the people you should be asking to refer their friends! Nice patients probably have nice friends! Those people should be patients in your practice!

A good team member should always be looking out for good opportunities to ask for referrals. If a patient has a particularly good experience or has just complimented your practice, then use that opportunity to ask them to send their friends. It is helpful to GIVE them something, like a rack card, that they can pass along to their friend. Let your patients BECOME marketers for your practice. Give them such a great experience that they want to tell their friends and/or post on social media about your practice.

Patient: You guys are always so great! Thank you for everything.

Dental Team Member: You’re welcome.

Patient: You guys are always so great! Thank you for everything.

Dental Team Member: It’s patients like you that make it great for us! We’ve love seeing you and we’d love to see any of your friends and family who may need a dentist. Here’s a referral card that you can give to any of your family or friends who may be looking for a new dentist.

Patient: Your office makes me not feel nervous. I’ll never go anywhere else!

Dental Team Member: Thanks!

Dental Team Member: It’s important to us that you can feel comfortable at the dentist. Lots of people shy away from the dentist because they are fearful, but we work hard to help our patients overcome that. If you have any friends or family who are afraid of the dentist, tell them to come see us. Here’s a card that you can give to any of them who may be looking for a dentist.
